Apple Vision Pro, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV

How do I restore purchases?
Sign in with the Apple Account you bought with, then choose Restore Purchases. Vision Pro, iPhone and iPad: the … menu › Everdust Plus. Mac: Settings › Everdust Plus. Apple TV: click and hold › Everdust Plus. A purchase on one Apple device works on all of them.
How do I cancel Everdust Plus?
Choose Manage Subscription in the same menu, or open your Apple Account’s subscriptions in Settings (on Apple TV: Settings › Users and Accounts).

Meta Quest

Hands or controllers?
Both. Everdust is built for hands; pick up a controller any time and it takes over. Point and pinch (or pull the trigger) to press a button, or touch it with a fingertip.
Which gestures does it use?
  • Everdust’s menu: left palm toward you, pinch. Or pinch twice quickly with either hand.
  • Meta’s menu: right palm toward you, pinch.
  • Next or previous scene: the menu’s Next and Previous. A bare pinch never changes scene.
  • Move the scene: pinch and drag with one hand.
  • Resize or turn it: pinch with both hands, pull apart or together; twist to turn.
  • Touch the light: reach in with open hands; the scene flows around them.
  • Controllers: the left menu button opens the menu, A and B change scene, a thumbstick click recenters.
The scene is in the wrong place. How do I recenter?
Open Everdust’s menu and press Recenter: the scene comes back in front of you at its normal size, level with the floor. With a controller, click the thumbstick. In a game, use ⌖ Recentre in the menu’s game row.
How do I exit?
Open Everdust’s menu and press Exit. Or open Meta’s menu (right palm toward you and pinch, or the Meta button on the right controller) and quit from there.
Games ignore some gestures.
While a game is running its pinches belong to the game, so moving and resizing are off. The menu’s game row has ✋ Gestures, which shows that game’s controls.

Android, Google TV and Fire TV

What does “What the TV plays” ask for?
It lets Everdust hear the sound other apps play on your TV, so the visuals follow it. Android asks for the audio recording permission, then shows its own “Start recording or casting” screen. The sound is analysed on the TV and is never stored or sent anywhere.
Why does it ask again?
Android asks for that consent once per session. Say yes again, or choose another sound source: Mixes, Your music or Visuals only.
It can’t hear my app.
Apps can block capture. Many streaming video apps do; most music apps and games don’t. “What the TV plays” needs Android 10 or later (on Fire TV, Fire OS 8 or later) and isn’t offered on older systems.
On a phone or tablet?
“Listen to the room” uses the microphone. Everdust explains why before Android asks, and the sound is processed on the device, never collected.
Restore Everdust Plus?

Everdust Live and Everdust Plugin

Where is my licence key?
It arrives by email after you buy. Lost it? Enter your email on your licences and we’ll send a link to your keys.
How do I activate?
Everdust Live: paste the key into Settings › Licence and press Activate. Everdust Plugin: paste it into the Everdust Plugin app. Activation needs the internet once; after that, none. No internet on that Mac? Use offline activation.
How many Macs?
Live Standard runs on 1 Mac, Live Pro and the Plugin on 2. A licensed Live Pro also unlocks the Plugin on the same Mac. Reinstalling on the same Mac is free.
New Mac?
Deactivate the old one in the app or on your licence page, then activate the new one. You can move a licence up to 5 times a year.
System requirements?
A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Intel Macs, Windows and Linux aren’t supported yet. The Plugin needs a DAW that hosts one of the formats on the Plugin page.
What about updates?
12 months of updates are included. After that you keep the version you have, or renew for another year.

Create and credits

What is Create?
Describe a scene in plain words and Everdust designs a new simulation that moves with your music. Then refine it (“bluer, slower”). Your scenes are saved to My sims.
How do credits work?
A new scene costs 1 credit; a refine costs ¼. New accounts get 3 free credits. If a creation fails or you cancel it, the credit comes back.
Where do credits come from?
Credit packs and Everdust Plus in the apps. Everdust Live licences include credits too (10 with Standard, 30 with Pro).
My credits are missing on another device.
Restore Purchases on that device with the same Apple Account; your credits and scenes follow. Credits from a refunded purchase are removed if they haven’t been spent.

Refunds

From an app store
Refunds for anything bought in the App Store, Google Play, the Meta Horizon Store or the Amazon Appstore go through that store. Ask it from your purchase history there.
