Descriptions

In the store listings’ own words. Use whichever length fits.

One line

Everdust is a particle universe you can reach into: every world is a live simulation, not a video.

One paragraph

Everdust is a particle universe you can reach into. Stars, galaxies and black holes are made of living particles: every world is a live simulation, not a video, and your hands and your music move it. Galaxies collide with up to about a million stars and black holes bend the light, narrated science stories take you from the first light after the Big Bang to the last stars, and physics games like Black Hole Golf, Lightfold and Orb Popper are built on the same simulations. Free to download, with no ads, from Decosa, Inc.

Long (the App Store listing, Apple Vision Pro)

Everdust is a universe you can reach into. Stars, galaxies and black holes are made of living particles all around you: every world is a live simulation, not a video, and your hands and your music move it.

Night Sky. The real night sky all around you, from home or from the darkest places on Earth. Pinch a planet and fly there, then turn it in your hands. Fly into deep-sky wonders: real photographs from Webb, Hubble, ESO and other observatories, given depth, from the Pillars of Creation and the Horsehead to the Crab Nebula with a slider back to the supernova of 1054. Hold a nebula in your hands and turn it while the sky stays still. Each wonder's Learn card says when it's up tonight from where you are and credits its photographs. Look at a named star and pinch to learn about it. Run time faster or backward, leave star trails, find a constellation, see the aurora or choose how dark the sky is.

Solar System to Scale. Walk out from the Sun to Neptune with every size and distance true, from NASA's fact sheets. Choose how big the Sun is, from a marble to a person, and everything else follows. Or set planets and stars side by side at their true sizes.

Reach in. Particles flow around your fingers and swirl closed behind them. Pinch to move a world and use both hands to scale it up, and the detail holds. Galaxies collide with up to about a million stars, black holes bend the light, ferrofluid spikes with the bass and a slime mold finds its way.

Step inside. Full immersion, or in your room: worlds rest on your real table and collide with your room. Narrated science stories take you from the first light after the Big Bang to the last stars, and every chapter is a live simulation you step inside.

Play with your hands. Light a firework's fuse, step back and look up. Pull back and bend a ball round black holes in Black Hole Golf, or collide galaxies in Galaxy Billiards. Carry prisms, mirrors and water drops across the bench in Lightfold until white light splits into color. Hold a handful of dust and nudge it into a star in A Handful. Blow out candles with real smoke rings in Smoke-Ring Archery and in the moonlit courtyard of Lantern Temple. Pop glass orbs in Orb Popper, carry a rain cloud over glass keys in Rain Piano and build a marble music machine in Marble Machine. Or describe a game in a sentence and Create builds it from the same physics for you to play (uses Create credits).

Calm. Guided rest (NSDR), now as a slow drift down a glowing river, plus breathing, a sleep timer and a focus timer, with an optional, silent evening reminder.

Walk into paintings. Step into famous paintings by Van Gogh, Monet, Hokusai and others, every brush stroke at its own depth, the place all around you.

Your music. Stream free Mixes from independent artists, play your own songs, play music from your iPhone, or let Everdust listen to the room. In the Laser Show, lasers all around and above you play to your music, and nothing strobes. The sound is analyzed on your Vision Pro and never recorded or sent.

Every world and every music source is free, and so are Night Sky and all its wonders, Solar System to Scale, all of The Story of Everything and the first chapters of every other Story. Fireworks, Galaxy Billiards, Black Hole Golf, Lightfold, Orb Popper and A Handful are free in full, and so is every other game's first level. In the Calm tools, the sleep timer, the 10-minute rest, box breathing and the 25/5 focus timer are free. Everdust Plus unlocks the rest of every story and every game level, and the Calm tools' longer rests, other breathing patterns and other focus lengths; it opens right inside the space. No ads.

The Android version’s own description, with its games, Tonight’s Sky and Calm, is on Google Play.
