Saturn’s rings, a murmuration of starlings, glowworms over a dark river, rain running down glass. The calm scenes from Everdust play one after another while your Mac is idle, each a real simulation, fading slowly into the next. Silent, free, and no account.
Install
Double-click. Pick Everdust.
- Download and open.Open EverdustSaver.zip from your Downloads folder, if your Mac hasn’t already, to get EverdustSaver.saver.
- Double-click it.Double-click EverdustSaver.saver. macOS asks whether to install it for you or for everyone on this Mac: either works.
- Pick Everdust.In System Settings › Screen Saver, choose Everdust. On newer macOS it’s under Wallpaper › Screen Saver.
What you need
- Mac
- macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon (M1 or later).
- Sound
- None. The screen saver is silent and never listens: the scenes move on their own.
- Price
- Free, with no account and nothing to sign up for.
- Remove it
- Delete EverdustSaver.saver from the Screen Savers folder in your Library (Finder › Go › Library), or in /Library › Screen Savers if you installed it for everyone.
