Everdust for Mac

Whatever you play, as real physics.

Galaxies colliding, a black hole bending its own light, ferrofluid spiking with the bass. Everdust listens to the music your Mac is playing, or to the room, and moves every world to it. On your screen, or on every display you plug in.

Mac
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon (M1 or later).
Sound
The music your Mac plays, the microphone, or your own files. Analyzed on the Mac, never recorded or sent.
Displays
Full screen on the built-in display or any display you connect, in HDR where the display supports it.
Updates
The app checks everdust.ai once a day (you can turn that off in Settings), tells you when a new version is out, and you choose when to download it.
Mac App Store
Everdust for Mac is also in Mac App Store review and will be there soon. The two are separate apps that can sit side by side: the App Store one updates through the App Store and sells Plus through Apple, so Plus bought in one doesn’t unlock the other.

Questions

Before you download.

Is it safe to open?
Yes. Everdust is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS checks it and opens it with no warnings. It runs in Apple’s app sandbox, like App Store apps, and asks before it uses the microphone, system audio or your location (Tonight’s Sky, rounded to about 10 km).
What’s free?
Everything you can play: every world, every way to listen, full screen and external displays. Plus adds the rest of each Story after its free chapters (The Story of Everything is free in full), and every new drop.
Is Plus a subscription?
Your choice: monthly, yearly (the first 7 days free), or Lifetime, paid once. Cancel a subscription any time from your license page; Plus stays on to the end of what you’ve paid for.
How do I unlock it?
Your key arrives by email. In Everdust, open Everdust Plus License…, paste it and press Enter License: the Mac activates and the Stories unlock.
Do I need to be online?
Only to activate. A new key works straight away for 14 days even offline. A Lifetime key never needs to check again; a subscription picks up each renewal when the Mac is next online.
New Mac?
Deactivate the old one in the app or on your license page, then activate the new one.
Lost your key?
Ask for a link at everdust.ai/licence with the email you bought with: your key and your Macs are there.
Refunds?
A full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason: reply to your receipt.
What’s Create?
Describe a scene in words (File › Create…) and Claude Opus 5.5 designs it as a live simulation that moves to your music, in about a minute. Refine it, keep it in My scenes, or share a link. A new creation costs 1 credit and a change a quarter of a credit; your Create account starts with 3 free credits.
More credits?
In Create, choose Get more credits: it opens everdust.ai/credits for the Create account on that Mac. Packs are one-time purchases and their credits don’t expire. Everdust Plus also adds 1 Create credit a month, monthly, yearly or Lifetime, as Plus from the App Store does: it comes once the Mac is activated and is spent before your other credits.
Photosensitivity?
Some scenes pulse with the beat. If you are sensitive to flashing light, set Brightness to Dim in Settings and take breaks.

Everdust is covered by the Everdust terms. Already bought? Your licenses.
